It’s even worse for the FAA. If they start removing flight clearance for injuries caused by an experimental drug the pilots were forced to take they will have more lawsuits flying than aircraft. The best they can do is keep clearing these damaged pilots to fly and hope they don’t get too many pilots and co‐pilots passing out at the same time.

I actually worry about this and had to fly recently.

I think the chances of that are low, and they put a third crewman on many flights now - a qualified pilot from any airline as passenger. Kind of an off-shift gig, it looks like.
Likely or not, I do expect a plane full of people to die because of this. It's gonna happen.
