Let's see here. Basically all of them are vaxed.

179,000 EMT meaning that 89,500 are drivers on callouts, the other one rides shotgun. In 22 months we get one safe and effective ambulance trip so that's a rate of about 1 : 1,969,000 man months for an EMT to be driving and dying. One per 11 months, and that only includes the driving time on the job.

118,000 pilots and flight engineers. Let's say most commercial flights have two on the flight deck, one pilot and one copilot. In 22 months we get one safe and effective flight with a body in the captain's chair while the wheels are up. 1 : 1,298,000 man months. Also one per 11 months including only the flying time of no more than 30 hours per week for a pilot.

Both estimates are high using 2019 employment numbers. We know there are fewer pilots today. I bet it is similar for EMT.

LOl, i had to just fcking laugh this week, on the radio in NZ , there is a discussion point (not sure who or what brought it up to the Airline unions) about reducing the 2 pilots per flight down to a single pilot (hahahahaa), the Airline Union etc are like 'What ??. Are you nuts. No way man'. It's all about finding ways to save money apparently and bc you know as the argument was put forth, planes are mostly automated and the 2nd pilot really only monitors dials and gauges etc. Clown world.
