I think it was a test run, to lay the foundations (normalization of lockdowns, covid passports, and such) for a more drastic approach for a much deadlier strain in the future Also, it was probably some sort of IQ test, to see how much of a dumbass the collective is, how influenceable the majority really is, what are the pockets of resistance, the socio-demographics related to it And it could also have been an opportunity to get rid of the pension problem, or rather a chunk of it ... And maybe it was none of that initially, but now it is, because you never let a serious crisis go to waste and you have data now, so... What do you make of it? Well you can verify work hypotheses now, with all those socio-demographic figures, all that data.
