DM Notes: All affected players make a +2 (+0 for trolls) saving throw against poison each night until a cure poison spell or potion is administered, or receiving a bless spell by priest of level 4+. On a successful save player wakes in the morning. If any save fails the player dies and cannot be resurrected, raised, or animated.

His death by totally "natural causes" was sudden, unexpected and, I'm certain, baffling to the doctors...
