The "vaccinated" are also betting their lives, though most of them probably don't know it. They are betting their lives that corrupt multi-national pharmaceutical companies who have a history of callous disregard for the safety of their customers and governments who have an insatiable desire for total power over them actually have their best interests at heart and would only ever provide a therapy that they know to be both safe and effective. And, that if any information to the contrary came to light, that said companies and governments would leap into action to stop the distribution of said therapeutics until the reason for the issues were determined and corrected.
The vaccinated are (sometimes willingly, sometimes unwillingly) putting their lives in the hands of people who have been repeatedly shown to have absolutely no regard for their safety and a propensity to maim and kill not only their enemies, but completely innocent bystanders in the interest of their cause.
Each of us must look at the evidence that we have and make our individual choices about what is best for us, for our family and for our communities. Here, the risk is born by the individual, so the choice must be in the hands of the individual. Given the available evidence, I chose not to take the "vaccination", though this causes me other hardships due to the actions of my government. I chose this not because I was courageous, I chose it because it was the least risky course of action for myself and my family. I take other precautions... not being a sickly lard arse, taking vitamins and other supplementation and eating a reasonably healthy diet. Have I chosen the right course of action? I don't know, but it is my choice, just as it should be everyone's choice.
People, acting on the best information that they have, making their own choices, is how we get through things like pandemics. Some people will make wrong choices, some of them will pay for those choices very dearly, but others will learn from their mistakes and make different choices. All manner of crazy ideas will be tried, most of them will fail, but some will succeed, perhaps an amazing breakthrough in understanding will be made and a leap of progress will occur.
The current situation we have now is the opposite of what should be done. A one size fits all approach that deifies a very small group of "scientists" particular opinions, opinions that are quite likely driven by ideas and ideals other than what is best for people. But even if their ideals were unimpeachable, they, like most other people, will very likely be wrong, or at least not entirely right. This is why you must have a wide range of approaches to dealing with any complex situation. Because, whatever you think about it, you're probably wrong on several fundamental levels, even if you're an "expert" (and quite likely because you are an "expert", you are blinded to possibilities outside of your very narrow field of "expertise").
