Didn't hear about that but it sounds about right. Even taking politics and diversity hires out of it, there's usually a few really good programmers who are as productive as a hundred normal programmers who just get by. Not an insult to the normal ones that's just how it is. Lose the good ones for any reason and things get bad real fast.
