I'm dumbfounded why he didn't bother to wear a mask.
I'm wondering if this is a bell curve problem. Midwits are npcs, huddling together like cattle and doing what they're told.
For detractors we have just the high iqs and the low iqs - there was a meme floating around with this idea. Basically the high iqs aren't brainwashed because they understand, and the low iqs aren't because the message is tailored to the midwits and all they know is it doesn't feel right.
But maybe we have a problem that the high iqs are too cautious and don't take action, while the low iqs act like this story and get caught while not achieving much.
If this is true I don't know how to solve this.
