The 85-ish% figure keeps getting thrown around but it's easily 'debunked' by pro-vaxers and MSM since you need the total % vaxxed to know if the figure is actually 'good' or 'bad.'
Hypothetical pro-vax fantasy scenario: if you had a sample size of 100 people,13 deaths, 98% vaccination rate, and 85% of deaths were jabbed, that would mean the virus annihilated the unvaxxed but only killed about 1 in 10 of the vaxxed. Pro-vaxers would claim that as a win, they'd say (rightly) that for the vax to be doing more harm than good, it would need to be more than 98% of deaths being jabbed.
In reality once you normalise it to the actual vax rate, it shows that the vaxxine is worse than useless overall, but you need to match it to the total vax rate to see that.
