Well, if I've got to deal with law enforcement I always pray that it'll be a sheriff. In this area at least they seem less stressed, less angry, less overworked, and seem to occasionally do things that aren't just profiteering for the state. Know what you mean about Oregon. My visits to Eugene have made me thankful to live in a climate that kills people.
