Of course, I had an “in” to be a county sheriff after leaving federal law enforcement and refused it. I don’t care if someone is speeding, doesn’t come to a complete stop at a stop sign etc. they’re just tax collectors. We have a hill by my house, the whole area is hills but only a few that are as steep as this one with a school at the top and a neighborhood all along the downward slope. It’s 25mph, the cops sit at the bottom on a side street and pull everyone over. You literally have to ride your brakes or downshift the full way down. There’s no reason the road can’t be 35. Most tickets are for 36-37 miles per hour but “they give you a break” and don’t make it for 11 miles over because that’s a larger ticket and reckless driving or something. Oh thank you, for only giving me a 200 dollar ticket. I’ve only ever gotten one one that road, try going up a steep incline at 25 miles per hour. Then you have the red light cameras and radar vans. In Oregon our yellow lights at the red light camera intersections are set for 2.25 seconds, it’s one of the shortest in the country. Some engineer tried to go to court with all kinds of evidence but since he wasn’t licensed in Oregon they tried to strip him of his license in his home state. I believe NC extended their yellow lights by 1 or 2 seconds and traffic accidents went down. Ours have went up since people slam their brakes on as soon as the light turns yellow. In Oregon yellow means stop, you can google that. So if you’re anywhere in the intersection when it’s yellow and changes to red you get a ticket. Not too mention they constantly fuck with and ticket working people for the smallest shit while the homeless get away with everything. So I hope must police quit, I can take care of myself.
