Some context: Harris was there to promote the administration's vax agenda.

Having two of the hosts 'discover' they have Covid live on the air lends credibility to the claims that boosters are necessary, the new variants are more infectious / deadly, and that mandates are a good thing. (At least as much as it will allow the complicit media to trumpet the 'news.')

The whole show is a virus. Funny story - when I used to go to my last dentist they would have a tv I could watch when they were working on me. They would ask what I’d like to watch, my answer was always ‘Anything other than the View’. It always got a chuckle from the tech.
