Cognitive Dissonance is when your mind holds two conflicting facts so your mind, unconsciously without your input, changes one of the facts to make the other still work.
IE If constantly rolling out new vaccines and someone just continuing to take them would make them a slave, they will say shit like (and believe it functionally internally) "I was always going to take many vaccines" even though they may have explicitly said before "I'll just take this one then it'll be over".
