It went as you'd imagine with these people. I really am at a loss. I pointed out the death rate for the "delta" variant for 0-19 y.o. is 0%. Pointed out the clots, myocarditis, pre-existing conditions, etc. The reply was "two medical professionals" said its better than covid. I swear if a medical professional told these people to load themselves into a boxcar they probably would.

I have had MANY ignorant or misguided "medical professionals" screw me around.

They refuse to accept anecdotal evidence.

Most of them are simply drug prescribers.

growing up my mother always said "if your friends told you to jump of a bridge would you?" this was supposed to be a rhetorical answer in the negative but with this past year i have learnt that most people will respond in the positive. really opens your eyes

Is it apathy or hubris? My dealings have almost always been a certain degree of hubris. They watch the news and/or briefings and think they’re experts.

Last weekend was insane with “conservatives” virtue signaling about their vaccines. Look through my comment history and you’ll see one of the peoples cousins had two lymph nodes swell up starting hours within the shot, once removed it wasn’t cancer but mass amounts of covid “antibodies”. I asked if they were spike proteins or antibodies and got blank stares.

My “highly enlightened” “it’s your patriotic duty to take a vaccine” sister called today, we were supposed to drop my mom off at her house this upcoming weekend for a week visit.

But “did you know you can catch covid even though you’re fully vaccinated? John(her husband) just had one of his employees who was fully vaccinated admitted to the hospital and now the rest of the staff have to be tested and three have already tested positive(all are fully vaxxed). I don’t think it’s safe for mom to be around us since she’s not vaccinated and elderly. Don’t you think she should get vaccinated so she can go places and not have to worry about it?”

I just said yeah, she’ll probably eventually got vaccinated. She’s not but no reason to argue about it with my indoctrinated sister.

Wtf? You just found out the vaccine still allows you to catch the virus? And if someone who is young with no preexisting conditions was just hospitalized at your husbands work and three more are sick, all are fully vaxxed, all of you may be super spreaders, so how would this “vaccine” protect our mom.

This has been common knowledge for awhile but it was just announced on the news where she lives and it’s also currently happening to her. Instead of thinking, hey they’re lying to us or this vaccine is shit, she hasn’t changed her vaxxed view and think more should get vaxxed.

I don’t even know what to call it, she just said it doesn’t work, her and others that are vaccinated can catch and pass it along and some even end up in the hospital but get it to protect mom?

I tried to talk my mom out of it, who is an RN.

“Why did the flu disappear?” “Because people are wearing masks.” “Then why is there still Covid?” “Because people aren’t wearing their masks.” “You don’t see the contradiction?” “Well, as a medical professional…”

For most of these people, there’s nothing you can do. They do what The Science says.
