Yes, exactly. A very unusual wet, chilly May. We never even hit 80 which is normal. Mostly 60s and rare 70s. But I think our good run is coming to an end. Summer will come, and I'll be bound to the AC - LOL.
At least your heat is a dry heat.
Yeah, but heat is heat - LOL
Yeah, heat is heat, but humidity stops your body from cooling itself with sweat evaporation. Been fucking roasting down here, and I've been living here since I was a little kid. Fucking scared to go outside. Planning my life around ventures at night or in the early morning. 100+ is common here in July and August, but May? I'm hiding from the shit.
I'm not as good with the heat as I used to be, but without the time to gradually acclimate, this shit has been killing me. Hopefully, we're going back to normal here.
The older you get, the harder it is to deal with the extremes, I think. I can vouch for the fact that that's the case for me.
Do not bring that up, please. About a year ago I had a heart attack. First thing I noticed afterward was "shit I can't catch my breath in the heat and I feel like I'm gonna pass out!"
What a drag it is getting old. I used to be so fucking robust. I never imagined late 50s would be like this.
