Been a smoldering drought with temps around 100(not heat index, actual temp) here in SC. My aunt lives in Tucson, AZ, and my sister told me it was upper 60s to low 70s and it just won't stop raining there. Go figure ... hot and dry in SC and cold and wet in the Southwest desert. We actually got a few drops of rain yesterday, and it looks like it's going to cool off a bit. Whew! At least I didn't have to hurry and mow my lawn since it's half-dead.
Yes, exactly. A very unusual wet, chilly May. We never even hit 80 which is normal. Mostly 60s and rare 70s. But I think our good run is coming to an end. Summer will come, and I'll be bound to the AC - LOL.
I'm not as good with the heat as I used to be, but without the time to gradually acclimate, this shit has been killing me. Hopefully, we're going back to normal here.
The older you get, the harder it is to deal with the extremes, I think. I can vouch for the fact that that's the case for me.
At least your heat is a dry heat.
Yeah, but heat is heat - LOL
