It's painting a picture of what could happen to countries with no gun rights. A lot of people in pro-human-rights countries would've been pushed to taking extreme action by this type of shit.
I’m Aussie and I’m 100% for Americans having guns, at one stage I was over the top anti gun, put a hell of a lot of effort in arguing they were evil, you all would have thought I was a shill for sure haha But after speaking(arguing) with a few yanks online and doing my own research I found my opinion didn’t match the reality so I swallowed my pride and admitted I was wrong on the issue.
With that said I still don’t think Aussies should have or even want guns. The thing I didn’t take into account with my initial anti gun stance is culture, for Yanks owning a gun isn’t just something to do, it’s practically a requirement for being an American if you are a sincerely patriotic one. You guys fought hard for what you have, I believe you had 3 major wars all while you were barely a country so it’s part of your national psyche to fight and I applaud that.
Something most people don’t know is that Australia is the only country that didn’t start with a war and it has never even had a civil one. Guns and fighting authority are not in our make up, I had always believed defiance of authority was part of our character but the past 18 months have blown that illusion. Guns are no good if no one has the will or organisational backing to use them. And honestly, from what I’ve seen the past year I extra glad we don’t have guns because I’m no longer confident most Aussies are on the right side or even of sound mind. It’s likely more than half would be fighting for the gov.
I know you yanks see no guns as being cucked but Aussies just don’t care, when we had port Arthur there’s was barely a blip from anyone when they banned guns, hardly anyone had them in the first place!!!
You guys are passionate about guns because you know they are necessary to preserve your way of life. Aussies are indifferent to them because we have never had to learn that lesson.
Australians really are letting themselves down on the world stage.
Mate show me somewhere or someone that is doing ok or even giving the appearance of doing ok? Humanity as a whole is letting itself down right now sadly.
You guys really aren’t in much better shape, I assume you’re American? Yes you have 400 million guns but it didn’t help one bit when your country was literally stolen out from under you with a sham election. There is genuine evidence of significant fuckery and not only no shots fired but barely a whisper against it.
If you have them, When do guns come into play? Do you actually use them to stop what’s coming? Do you use them to create a stalemate on the streets when what’s coming gets here? Or are they for a heroic last stand when everything is already lost?
It seems to me like if guns were gonna be the solution it would have already happened.
