When attacked, it's only natural to defend.
Call someone a hypocrite or a liar, and they'll claim the opposite. And they'll believe it.
Even if they are hypocrites, or liars.
They fight back against the label -- reflexively -- cowed to a defensive posture like a pathetic, cornered animal.
Wouldn't it be better to give in?
Consider the labels given to us:
Racist, evil, hateful, Monster.
Are they wrong?
Here we are... talking together in the shadows in our little underworld. Possessing of eldritch knowledge like crime statistics, demographic voting trends, and IQ differences among groups. Versed in a coded and constantly changing language of irony and memes. Making jokes that only we think are funny. Concealing our true nature to get by among the People of Light that inhabit the Overworld.
And whenever we reveal ourselves either by slip up or by own intention our vile, abominable nature is evident in the looks of horror and disgust on their faces. Their preoccupation with our existence alone drives them to put stupid little signs on their lawn as wards to keep us away. and on and on, so tiresomely.
What are we really?
I'm not quite sure what we are. It's not just the wignats -- people are called monster for less, and many of you, my fellow abominations, are not even wignats. The division doesn't seem to fall along religious lines -- for many Christians are fellow monsters and some monsters aren't Christian. It's not even being white -- I know some of us aren't white; and only a small portion of whites are. Perhaps it's a disregard for certain rules... though many stripes of otherwise "chaotic" people find us monstrous as well.
But I recognize you when I see you. And the People of Light certainly recognize us.
Join Frosty
You are a monster. You are an abomination. You are evil.
What they have said about you is true.
And it feels good to finally admit it
I am a monster. I don't know where it goes from here, but it is such a relief to finally be able to admit it. To come to grips with my true nature.
I don't think anything good ever came from hiding from the truth, anyway.
A Final Word
Now is the time and the place to declare yourself. Are you a monster? We are going to take note of who was with us when it counted, and who wasn't.
