That was beautiful. The best rebuttal though is that we need them to protect ourselves and our country from tyranny from within. We need them to keep our government in check. The "well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State" isn't about defending ourselves from a foreign power, it's keeping our freedom, our rights secure. It's what we'll have to form when our government no longer recognizes our rights.
