Abdul El-Sayed says he asked to delay his financial disclosures until after the Michigan primary because "my wife and her family own property abroad, so getting all those tax forms is a thing."
When asked if he is a millionaire, he says it's unfair to compare his and Haley Stevens' finances, because Stevens is divorced.
Q: She says you're a millionaire and you're hiding that.
EL-SAYED: Well, if, if you take my assets and her, my, my wife's assets together, then I guess they add up to something like that... If you file on your own, then of course your assets look like one thing, which, uh, Congresswoman Stevens does. If you file with a partner, your assets might look like something else.
