People have a psychological need to not feel duped, and I completely understand it.

I mean, fuck, I only voted for Trump once, in 2016, and I still have this very non-logical urge to defend him, despite him betraying his word so many times.

I think it is the same feeling the vaccinated have, where they will never be able to truly give up their allegiance to it, despite all the evidence that it didn't do shit and it is almost certainly detrimental to their health.

The point is, all of our retarded human brains are prone to logical fallacies, all the time, no matter what.

And even though I am cognitively aware that I should despise Trump, and my logical brain does, I still find a weird part of my unconscious constantly rooting for the guy, thinking he will turn it around, thinking, 'maybe this next time will be different'.

I think the Epstein thing pushed me over. Lets pretend Luker was right: Nothing in there. Trump is clean. Then why not just release what we KNOW exists? Why gaslight us?

Couple that with his support of Israel, the number of former supporters he had that are turning on him for his VERY questionable decisions, and his very sketchy roll out of policies in the past year, and I'm just over him.

I disagree with nothing you have said; But that also wasn't my point.

Have you ever experienced cognitive dissonance? Or, more importantly, have you ever been aware of experiencing cognitive dissonance?

All the time, and more and more often as I get older.
