Not sure I like this. On the one hand, it's a more honest description of the function of that department, on the other, it's kind of ominous.

Could be just theatrics, who knows.

It's a weird rebranding considering Trump touts himself as the guy that wants to stop all the wars.

I don't disagree about the Israel influence, but I don't see why they would care about this. As long as the checks clear...

You're correct - a more accurate (and honest) description. Going back to roots, we were told it this way 'we're not in the killing business. We're in the saving lives business - saving lives through superior firepower'

That said, and I'm not saying anything new, but the policies that this and every other administration have allowed, especially as it comes to foreign ownership [of land], our enemies needn't worry about an ominous rebranding of the Department of War.. all they need is the 'freedom to exist' here - that is all they need, to be at the very least, capable of competing [on a power level]
