I want them counted to show how fucking many are, I just want new laws that state that funding/political seats cannot be allocated based on them being in a city/state.
That would strip as many as 6+ seats from Commiefornia alone from the estimates I have seen online. Not only that, it would remove a LOT of funding that is allocated based on population size for anything from schools to basic infrastructure. It would remove all incentives for cities/states to be sanctuaries and to want illegals.
