I had a fb account shortly after fb started in 2004, I used it to connect to old friends and coworkers before retiring from my 24 year engineering career a few months later, then I closed it around 2010 because I realized that all was not as it seemed on fb. Same with LinkedIn since my personal business success meant that I would never seek employment again, I really had no use for Linkedin. I didn't trust any social media after that. I was never on reddit or any of the others. VOAT was my very first true endeavor into anonymous free speech social media in 2017 when Jordan Sather's yt channel brought my attention to Q, 4chn, 8chn and VOAT. I wanted to be in that loop so I joined VOAT. I lurked there for about a year before my first post. I remember that period of being allowed only 10 votes a day to upvoat the posts and comments of others. That guy Stonenchisel impressed the hell out of me before he died. I was so sad to see him go, had learned a lot from him. I thought Stonenchisel was one of the most prolific posters on VOAT/v/GreatAwakening. That was about when I really started posting on VOAT. Yes, VOAT was incredible with all the people, knowledge and skill sets working together, a true hivemind. I wish I knew then what I know now! Lol! That would have tempered my Q expectations while on VOAT. They were very exciting times. An education I truly value. Thanks for remembering me from way back then, I'm flattered!
