I think he gave up trying to take votes from Trump. With his VP pick he is clearly targeting the left now.

I don’t think Kennedy can actually win the election, but it would take some massive, obvious cheating for Biden to pull it off with Kennedy in the race.

Yet RFK still brought into the Jan 6th nonsense. He didn't rebuke the idea that it was an insurrection.

Optics. Coming out against the Uniparty J6 narrative would diminish RFK Jr's ability to poach Democrats from Biden. Easier and more effective to not dispute J6.
