I once worked for a black Semiconductor Product Manager (originally from Ethiopia). He knew his stuff. He was an expert on our portfolio of interface devices, LVDS and other differential products of the day. He was a good guy.

Well stated. Most modern people don't realize that in the Civil War the Union was Republican and red, whilst the Confederates were democratic and blue.
I'm convinced LBJ's Great Society program was the big turning point that made blscks into what they are today.. The Dems got them riled up in the 50s and 60s just in time paving the way to introduce The Great Society.
