The GOP-controlled House of Representatives voted in favor of an amendment that would slash Democratic Transport Secretary Pete Buttigieg‘s salary to just $1 on Tuesday evening.

The amendment to this year’s Financial Services and General Government Appropriations Act, responsible for funding for the General Services Administration, Securities, and Exchange Commissions, was passed by a voice vote after it was introduced to the House by GOP representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga). The bill will now be voted on by the full House in the coming days.

This is why I'm not a republican. They pass that kind of shit for their reelection campaign knowing it won't get entertained in the Senate. They do the same kind of thing with the "Continuing Resolutions"...they know no one takes the time to verify the bullshit they/their opponents spout to see if someone is lying.
