The GOP-controlled House of Representatives voted in favor of an amendment that would slash Democratic Transport Secretary Pete Buttigieg‘s salary to just $1 on Tuesday evening.
The amendment to this year’s Financial Services and General Government Appropriations Act, responsible for funding for the General Services Administration, Securities, and Exchange Commissions, was passed by a voice vote after it was introduced to the House by GOP representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga). The bill will now be voted on by the full House in the coming days.
