Republican National Committee (RNC) Chair Ronna McDaniel has reportedly implored former president Donald Trump to participate in the inaugural Republican Party 2024 presidential debate this coming August 23.

According to sources cited by the Washington Post, McDaniel has held in-depth discussions with Trump, arguing that his absence from the debate would serve to make him a target of the other candidates. This is rooted in the belief that his lack of presence would leave him unable to defend himself against possible criticisms or attacks.

But according to one Trump adviser, the former president is “highly unlikely to participate” — though he could always change his mind and continues to ask associates about the benefits and drawbacks of participating, the adviser said.

I'm surprised that he doesn't want to get on stage and just go off on everyone else there. Also, I know he's mad at FOX and that he really doesn't need to be in the debate, but he's also said that Biden should debate his challengers. That seems a bit hypocritical to me.

Another thing I'm surprised about. Why hasn't Trump taken advantage of Carlson's popularity on twitter to bash everyone and anyone he wants to?

It would probably help him, actually. Everytime he steps into a room and talks, he brings the biased establishment out of the woodwork. He’s like a flame and they are like moths.

He forces them to out themselves in spectacular fashion, gives them a derogatory nickname that sticks to them forever, and then proceeds to verbally destroy and demoralize them.

And their only response to any of it is to prove him correct. All they can seem to do is further show that they are, in fact, establishment shitbags fitting of the nicknames he bequeaths upon them.
