While German media are keeping quiet about everything that is currently being published by the FBI about the Bidens' corruption, Russian media are following the developments with great interest.
This Sunday, the weekly review of the USA correspondent of Russian television was again dominated by the latest revelations about the Bidens' corruption scandals. Since German media do not report anything about it, I have translated the Russian report again this week.

Senator Chuck Grassley has released an FBI document describing a corruption scheme of the Ukrainian energy company Burisma, in which Joe Biden was involved. Against this backdrop, Republicans have stepped up their calls for impeachment proceedings against the U.S. president.
America has learned more this week about contacts between Washington and Kiev. This is not about arms or money supplies to Ukraine, but on the contrary about extortion of money from Ukraine.
The owner of gas company Burisma has admitted that he brought Hunter Biden on the board not for nothing, but "to solve problems through his daddy." "Through his daddy" - but for $5 million - Burisma managed to get Attorney General Shokhin's resignation. But the Bidens' "dirty laundry" does not end there, as our USA correspondent's report shows.
Until now, only close friends, some in the FBI and Republican members of Congress knew about how Biden Senior and Biden Junior secretly made money with the Ukrainian company Burisma, bypassing the law. But now, thanks to Senator Chuck Grassley, all of America knows, for he declared:
"American citizens need to know the truth. Now it's the FBI's turn to tell us what it did about it. By the way, this document was not classified, so we didn't have to wait 12 months before we released it."
The document is called Form-1023. Some paragraphs are redacted, but there is more than enough detail. It is essentially the testimony of a source whom the FBI describes as an absolutely credible person. The source describes in detail the events of 2015, when she herself first traveled to Kiev in the company of a certain Alexander Ostapenko to meet with oligarch Nikolay Slomchevsky. At the time, Slovchevsky and his company Burisma were dreaming of an IPO in the United States.
One of these meetings took place in the summer of 2015. That's when the Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C. hosted a U.S.-Ukrainian investment forum. The delegation from Kiev was led by then-Prime Minister Yatsenyuk. Gas was the number one topic.
Biden drew the line on their personal and political independence for both Yatsenyuk and Poroshenko exactly one year later. He flew to Kiev to fire Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin. And that's what he did. Later, he even bragged about it:"You're not getting the billion. I'm leaving in six hours and if you don't fire the attorney general, there's no billion. And the son of a bitch was fired."
Legend has it that Schokin was fired for corruption. But in the document, the FBI informant, citing Slobchevsky, says it was all the other way around. Shokin was investigating corruption at Burisma that was hurting the desired IPO in America, and the Bidens were collecting some kind of protection money. That's why Hunter was appointed to the board. Not because of his beautiful eyes and great intellect. Fox News writes:
"'Slochevsky said Hunter was stupid and that his own dog was smarter, but he had to leave Hunter on the board for everything to work out,' the document says. It goes on to ask the source if 'Hunter Biden or Joe Biden told him to leave Hunter on the board.' Slochevsky replied, 'They both said that.'"
The Ukrainian oligarch himself turned out to be a cunning man, because he hedged his bets. Slochevsky said in conversation with the FBI informant that he has 17 recordings of conversations with Biden. And two of those were with the "Big Guy," meaning Joe. There are also a number of text messages and two financial records of payments to the vice president and his son. And the prize is also known.
Sean Hannity, Fox News host, commented:
"The price was $5 million for one Biden and $5 million for the other Biden. That's a quote from the president of Burisma. According to him, he didn't want to pay the Bidens, he was just forced to. And according to his claims, he didn't pay Hunter for intelligence or experience, in the document Hunter is repeatedly referred to as stupid. Basically, yes, he is a drug addict, and therefore stupid."
All of this is in black and white. There's nothing to hide, but the Democrats are trying their best. On MSNBC, they say:
"The purpose of all this is not to put all the elements together, but to just throw this out to the masses and create this atmosphere around Biden where it seems like he must have done something wrong."
Jesse Watters, anchor at Fox News, responded:
"Just creating this atmosphere around Biden where it seems like he must have done something wrong? It almost sounds like the Russian election interference case."
To delay the investigation into the alleged interference, Democrats appointed a special investigator. Mueller submitted his report when hardly anyone cared. So with Biden, Republicans don't want to make that mistake. More and more often, one hears the word impeachment from members of Congress.
"Read it and understand how deep the corruption is. Biden should be removed from office. Impeachment!" tweet Republicans.
Mixed in with the corruption is 36 years of hard work on image. For decades in the Senate, Joe Biden has told Americans he is the poorest man in Congress. That's because he lives only on his salary.
James Comer commented, "He's never had a successful career in investment or anything like that. But look at the fortune he's made just on his salary, that's pretty impressive. And look at the upkeep of his estate."
"You mean the classic Corvette didn't buy itself?" he was asked.
"I think Obama knew it was coming to an end and that's why he didn't want Biden to run."
James Comer has been in the spotlight all week. There's a fateful hearing in the oversight committee he chairs. Two U.S. tax officials who were never allowed to question Hunter Biden testified. The lead is Special Agent Joseph Ziegler, formerly known as Whistleblower X. He is openly gay, but Ziegler opposed his own. That is, against the Democrats, because he testified:
"I decided to speak out even though I know I'm risking my career, my reputation and my job. But no one should be above the law. I was the lead investigator in the Hunter Biden case, and like my colleague, I don't understand what happened with this investigation."
In short, nothing good. The brass kept clapping their hands. The DA's office, which was supposed to be helping, just put obstacles in their way. This was despite the fact that it was a huge case, even by American standards. In five years, four of which Joe Biden was U.S. vice president, his son and other relatives received about $17 million from abroad. Gary Shapley, Ziegler's colleague, added:
"The Hunter-Biden investigation was completely different from any other case I have handled in my 14 years of service at the IRS. At every level, decisions were made that benefited the target of our investigation."
The FBI also stood behind Biden Senior and his election victory. The agency's leadership helped portray the laptop story as another Russian interference. Americans didn't really look into it. But everything that is secret comes to light sooner or later. Even the most indecent.
Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Green printed out pictures from the laptop from hell and presented them in the form of large posters. The pictures showed Hunter having sex with prostitutes and using drugs. Hunter Biden collected dirt on himself. For prostitutes he spent $267,000, stating in the tax return that these were expenses for golf and lawyers. And he also drove prostitutes from state to state - that's nothing more than human trafficking under U.S. law.
That means there's no penalty for Hunter, who passed off expenses for prostitutes as payment for lawyers - one of whom, Kevin Morris, is seen in this photo smoking marijuana on the balcony of his California home during a visit from Biden's son. But Trump has been indicted in New York City for wiring money to porn actress Stormy Daniels under the guise of legal fees, and they want to put him in jail.
However, that's just a pretext. The reason is probably that the former US president wants nothing at all to do with the American Deep State, with its goals and the involvement of some of its representatives. Donald Trump said:
"The very idea that we can even think about Ukraine joining NATO at a time like this is absolutely insane. The last thing the country should be doing is risking war with Russia, which has nuclear weapons, or with China or any other country. The U.S. has a corrupt president, the fraud Joe Biden, who is driving us into World War III. For the benefit of a nation that has paid his family millions and millions of dollars in obvious bribes."
Trump talks about World War III, but he's facing his third criminal case. Among them are storming the Capitol and trying to find missing votes in Georgia.
So Trump is being attacked both for things he did when he was president, when he wasn't, as in the payments to the porn actress, and when he isn't anymore. Nor is the case of the retention of secret documents brushed aside. On the contrary, a date for the start of the trial was set: May 20, 2024.
John Lauro, former President Donald Trump's lawyer, commented:
"It's the first time in the history of our country that something like this has happened. A sitting president is using the U.S. Department of Justice to go after his political opponent. And this is while the political opponent is leading in the polls. The situation is interesting. On Sunday, Trump received an invitation to appear in court. And at the same time, Biden was caught taking huge bribes. There is definitely something wrong here."
