The War On Poverty Hasn’t Just Failed, It’s Failed Abysmally

It's not a matter of whether the war is not real, or if it is, Victory is not possible. The war is not meant to be won, it is ment to be continuous. Hierarchical society is only possible on the basis of poverty and ignorance. This new version is the past and no different past can ever have existed. In principle the war effort is always planned to keep society on the brink of starvation. The war is waged by the grueling group against its own subjects and its object is not the victory over either Eurasia or East Asia but to keep the very structure of society intact.

The "war on poverty" was never meant to eliminate poverty. Apart from that being impossible, it was also not the objective. The war on poverty is designed to institutionally intrench reliance on the government while wasting as much tax money as possible, so that highly productive people do not have the excess resources to alleviate poverty of their own accord. Only daddy government can "provide for the poor". In return, the poor keep voting in a government that will keep giving them "free" stuff, not realizing that they are now effectively enslaved. They cannot disobey their masters.

It is not a war on poverty, it is a war on the middle class. The self appointed "elites" despise the middle class. Ordinary people who have, through their own productive endeavors, amassed enough wealth to live comfortably. People who have sufficient leisure time, intelligence and curiosity to look at the world and think about how it works (from various perspectives). This is very dangerous to the "elites" as even a cursory examination of their "rule" shows that they are just corrupt psychopaths with an insatiable lust for power and that the world would be far better off without them. This is what they fear, and why they are now in panic mode trying to collapse the world back to a state that they think they can control. The internet came out of left field for them. It's been around now for only 25 years or so in any meaningful sense. For the "elites" this is a blink in time, they act over centuries and millennia. Initially, they probably didn't think much of it, some academic curiosity. But, it has grown to allow the middle class, people like you and me, to (relatively) freely communicate with each other virtually instantly anywhere on Earth. It is this that frightens them, and why they are now pushing as hard as they dare for world wide totalitarian controls particularly on movement and speech. This is the reason for CBDCs, vaccine passports and digital IDs, for hate speech laws and 15 minute cities. They HATE your freedom, but more so: they FEAR it.
