The left likes to treat skeptics of electrical cars as if they were Luddites. Truth is, making an existing product less efficient but more expensive doesn’t really meet the definition of innovation.

Even the purported amenities and technological advances EV makers like to brag about in their ads have been a regular feature of gas-powered vehicles going back generations. At best, EVs, if they fulfill their promise, are a lateral technology.

Which is why there is no real “emerging market” for EVs in the United States as much as there’s an industrial policy in place that props up EVs with government purchases, propaganda, state subsidies, cronyism, taxpayer-backed loans, and edicts. The green “revolution” is an elite-driven, top-down technocratic project.

And it’s increasingly clear that the only reason giant rent-seeking carmakers are so heavily invested in EV development is that government is promising to artificially limit the production of gas-powered cars.

The left likes to treat skeptics of electrical cars as if they were Luddites

Even if one has the background to properly explain the (((who))), what, when, where, how, and why, they won't comprehend the explanation.

They can't recall basic oxidation reduction reactions from high school, the battery has a limited life of approximately one decade.

They can't understand subsidy is theft. The government is paying them down.

Can't comprehend the lack of balance between the environmental costs of strip mining against air, water, and soil, vs the trade off of "ha, no carbon emissions, truly green". 20 kilotons of earth moved for enough mineral to make a battery. Water contaminated. Soil ruined and sterile. They will not understand that China will bear the brunt of the mining damages, because, as usual, the CPP doesn't care about green policies, environmental damage, pollution, red tape, or their own people's health. (btw, EVs will die the day if China ever sanction the United States). China will grow larger.

They don't understand that hybrids in the 2000s have demonstrated a type of car that cannot be maintained, only replaced. Automaker jews salivate at the idea of the population having to buy a new car every decade because it will become un-chargeable.
