Let me start the rest of this analysis with the good news. Ron DeSantis will fail in his effort to win the 2024 nomination – with one caveat – as long as Donald Trump is in the race. Despite what the professional political class will say, Ron DeSantis cannot beat Donald Trump, period! The only way DeSantis can win the nomination is if Donald Trump is not in the race; that’s the caveat.

Brian Kemp (GA) and Glenn Younkin (VA) are two very recent examples of the shift. If the professional Republicans were confident, they would not create insurance policies. One very important strategic point is NOT in his favor, and that is that he ran to Israel for a stunt signing of a Florida law. If this was important to Florida, then he should have signed it and did his press event in Florida for Floridians. He's not representing the USA that he needs to go to a foreign country to sign a Florida law against free speech.

Trump cannot go against a democrat period. They have nothing left. Their only chance now is to beat trump in the primaries. Will they not cheat election but cheat the primaries instead?
