I respectufully disagree. I think the GOP knows it's constituency and is terrified by it. I don't believe that the two main parties are in competition with one another; they are in cahoots. Trump is outside of their direct control, which meant that their constituency also left their corrals. This is part of the reason you saw so many GOPers turn against Trump so fast. Cheneys, Bush family, Kochs, etc- all globalists working towards the NWO by controlling the "right". I understand what you are saying, and IF I believed the the GOP was feckless-but-trying, I would agree. I think that it is more sinister than that, though.
