God forbid kids have jobs. There is nothing in this that forces any kids to do anything. It only loosens ridiculous restrictions. How dare they have a 16 yr old lift 50lbs.
Republicans argue that’s not true and that it’s just giving them more opportunities to earn money.
For once I agree with politicians.
“I wouldn’t want my granddaughter serving alcohol or getting an exception to do hazardous work in the name of workplace learning. A workplace accident can happen in the blink of an eye. It takes mere seconds for a red iron beam to fall. Iowans should not be putting our kids, and they are kids, in dangerous situations,”

Then don't allow your granddaughter to get one of those jobs... Simple. What you want for your granddaughter doesn't apply to everyone.
