I sometimes wonder if the lawsuits, while ultimately unfruitful, are going forward to hamper Trump and to keep the left base motivated, but more importantly give the RNC their justification to not support Trump.

This is certainly one of the reasons behind all of the 'get trump" cases.

The RNC will push DeSantis (most likely) and intentionally divide the "conservative/sick of socialism and facism" vote. Spiltting the vote makes cheating plausible and easier.

Yes, because the RNC is part of the Uniparty and wants things to stay the way they are.

Maybe they get a conviction that will be overturned in the end, but that is not the main objective. I think the end game is giving the RNC the "out" certain people want.
