This is the wrong time to run Desantis. If he were to win, it would leave Florida vulnerable to a possible flip to a Blue State. The best scenario (IMO) is for Trump to win and straighten out the Crap over 4 years and then let Desantis have the next 8 years. Whoever is going to clean it up is going to see a lot of resistance and a second term would be a tough road. The best message that needs to be stated is, that voting for the left is a vote for Communism.

Isn't this around the time a candidate would normally want to announce they're running? The same exact time they take Trump out of the race entirely?

Constitutional Carry has been working through the system for months now. He promised to sign it when it made it to his desk, and he did. Yes, he will likely be running against Trump for the nomination but the timing of this is coincidental. Fortuitous, but coincidental.
