Who is GOP #2? Romney? It'll be more of the same.

The Assistant Minority Leader (Minority Whip) is Senator John Thune. He wouldn't automatically replace Mitch if Mitch were to retire. Republican Senators would elect a replacement for him.

He "falls" 2 days after calling out Tucker?

He's fallen a whole bunch of times. He's 80+ years old. He should be on his front porch sipping whiskey, counting the shekels and yuan he's gathered over the years.

What a stupid question. You honestly think that such things rely on 1 or 2 people?. They have spent years putting people into positions to do what they want, another will replace him if he goes, nothing will change unless they want it to.

The system has to come down to have its replacement brought forward.

No. They have a miles-deep line of actors fighting for entry level spots in politics, and a huge bench of polished actors ready to take the reigns.

This is like asking if the death of Robert Downey Jr. will be the end of the entertainment industry.

Next question.
