White House campaigning has begun in earnest as GOP presidential hopefuls descend on Iowa to make their case to voters.

Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) and former South Carolina GOP Gov. Nikki Haley will be in the Hawkeye State on Friday, and former President Donald Trump has teased a visit in the middle of the month. It's familiar ground for Iowa, which for decades has held the nation's first party caucuses each year.

I really thought Dubya the Inbred was going to be the nail in the coffin of the GOP but after this (s)election I expect the GOP to go under as a national party. Trump was the last (controlled) hurrah for the Republicans and he fucked it up. I am curious if the GOP will have the money to run a candidate in 2028 and we end up with a NYC type of election system where we picked from 5 or 6 leftist communist trash in a single-party setup.

If the A/B market testing shows enthusiasm for DeSantis as being too low, Trump will likely take the general.

However, if DeSantis' numbers are looking good by the general, then Trump will try to play kingmaker and "pass the torch" to DeSantis.

There is no way I can see anyone but Biden being put back in White House. I just can't. He's the perfect empty suit. He's old, easily controllable, a corrupt media and bureaucracy covering for him and the next person on deck is even more controllable as she is stupid with an Iq likely in low 80s, if that.

EDIT: Now that I think about this. With AI deepfakes as good as they are, all they would need to do is mock up a couple of body doubles and everything else is done via green screen. Biden very well might be in a hospital bed, barely conscious and no one would be the wiser. And by some miracle the public found out, here comes the media to cover that shit up too.
