the default should be, even in normal times, not to believe them. make them prove it. but in these times, it's beyond necessary to get some actual proof of life video or live event to know our representatives aren't just working for their constituents, but just to know they're alive and not being used as a proxy for the radical globalist puppet masters of a shell of a man. even though that's probably 99% exactly what's happening here.
