As you can tell the intended purpose of ranked choice voting has been the result of it's implementation. You can tell this by the number of third party candidates being elected. /S

They say look at all the people you can vote for, just rank them and if no candidate has a majority, then lowest ranked drops out and your second choice has a chance. Then the dems tell their own people to only vote one dem candidate. The dem candidate scoops up their dem votes plus the secondary and tertiary etc ranked votes for the win.

Same bullshit happens in nonpolitical organizations that tell you that you can vote for more than one. The entrenched tell their minions to only vote for one while they tell everyone else to vote as many as they are allowed to choose.
