The National Archives has been "closed indefinitely" since Covid started. All the staff went "remote" (code for fishing on a boat somewhere and collecting their taxpayer funded paycheck still) and never looked back.
Go try to schedule with the Archives. It exists so that the Citizens can get information about history, genealogy, government, etc.. and it's been shuttered. Guaranteed they still get appropriations to fund staff & budget for facilities, even though they aren't doing shit.
The USSA is done for.
