Why bother fixing it? Africa has a similar problem where the niggers take metal off the electrical towers. Eventually, they collapse. Don't bother fixing the sub stations. We're already a freight train headed towards a banana republic. Let's just get it over with.

The issue is lack of leadership.... I'll grab an oar the minute someone I respect tells me where we're going.
The problem I see is most people do nothing anyway, they suffer from diffusion of responsibility. Let them suffer until they take action to stop it. As long as others take action, they're fine.
I've already taken steps on my own to mitigate power outages. I'm not going to depend on others to fix things i can do myself. We have a nation full of lazy people who hire politicians to lie to them that everything is going to be fine, yet never is. These same people are fine listening to Fauci reassure them vaccines are safe and effective. Ok, now there's an elephant in the room people are ignoring. People are dying suddenly, but it's global warming don't you know.
Interesting what's happening is these people who have chronic cognitive dissonance are dying off. First slowly and then faster. The dead weight is killing itself.
