People should have to be 35+, not be on any sort of dole including social security, own property or be a licensed professional or military, be in good standing with society, have zero conflicts of interest with their business and government, and be a natural born citizen with two natural born American parents.

I remember when the jews moved it to 18, becuase 18 years olds went to fight in Vietnam for the country, they should be allowed to vote.

That argument somewhat holds, though it should have been 21 or older OR military enlisted.
