Want to know what is really funny... This was NEVER brought to the floor when there was a republican House, Senate, AND President under Trump was it? It would have passed then right? Funny that! I wonder why this is the case?

I'll tell you why not. Trump and the repubs in the House and Senate are very much against such a thing. :)

Presidents can make a few phone calls and present such a bill to Congress. House and Senate would pass it or be savaged. How come trump never even HINTED at this? Instead we get FATCA a bill that fucking expands the IRS powers to literally the whole galaxy taxing citizens even if they are out of the country for decades. Renounce or pay up bitch.

If trump was serious we would already have the Fairfax and need merely defend it.

The Republican-led House will vote on a bill to repeal the federal income tax and abolish the IRS altogether this Congress.

Georgia Republican Rep. Buddy Carter will bring forth the Fair Tax Act that he says would remove the need for an IRS entirely by simplifying the tax code. It would replace the national corporate and personal income tax and other taxes with a single consumption tax.

The bill also gets rid of the death, gift and payroll taxes.

So far there's nothing called the in Congress, but I'll try to keep an eye out for it.

Not that the Senate will allow it to pass, of course.
