That's why there's always a fan vent on top of a stove, Jesus fucking Christ. They are on a mission to destroy petrol and natural gas while destroying our electric grid. I'd love to see this study and see if it includes the fan being on or not. My guess is it's some inane bullshit like

12% increase in asthma if using stove top cooking in a closed up home with no ventilation for 4 hours a day 7 days a week.

Yes but they really need an exhaust and not a fan. The real problem with them is they are installed in poorly ventilated areas. When on they can rapidly increase the CO2 in a house above 1000ppm or 2000ppm. This is most likely the cause of asthma issues .

Many kitchens do not have vents or fans, but they do have windows! Even so, I find this hard to believe. Most people barely cook anyways. I highly doubt most households come close to using a stove 28 hours a week.

Will this include restaurants and other food service operations? I bet 98% of commercial kitchens use gas.

What about people that use propane?

What's going to be next, the incandescent light bulb?

They did try to ban incandescent light bulbs. Or were you not being sarcastic and I missed that one.

Tried? They did ban it unless you know something I don't.

Fair enough.. Not "banned" but "no longer meet standards so cannot be produced". https://www.gelighting.com/inform/halogen-and-incandescent-light-bulb-ban-explained#:~:text=Purchasing%20or%20using%20halogens%20and,will%20no%20longer%20be%20produced.

Still. I can go to any store that sells lightbulbs in a 20 mile radius and can still buy them. It is a "ban" in name only and for "usa" production?

I do have much better luck with LED based bulbs personally but I dont have a off-grid cabin in the woods anywhere.. If I did I am not sure that lightbulbs would be my highest want/need.

I really hate this "regulate it out of existence" type of thinking/laws. One day, it will just not be worth allowing you to breath more than 3 times a minute... or you will need to be removed x.x

In hindsight, this idea should have been expected. They don't give a shit about your health, the environment, or safety. If everything is electric they can deny you energy at a moments notice for being a bad person, or for being a person who thinks they can live outside of their rules; which also qualifies you as a bad person.

I didn't even think of the electric grid shutdown aspect.

I love my old usa. I hate the new divided states of communism. Time to flee for sure.

The EPA SCOTUS decision means this would end up dying pretty fast in the first court that hears a challenge.
