The funny thing is that most people nowadays wouldn't even fix it themselves and would instead pay someone to fix it anyways.

Meanwhile people are dying Jerry rigging fractal wood burning devices out of microwaves, and I'm pretty sure nobody has died trying to fix their phone.

I'm surprised they aren't arguing that it is a matter of national security to prevent the release of schematics as the devices could be turned into triggers for explosives using the knowledge. (Not that you couldn't just measure the board with a multimeter, but I digress.)

I have phones all the way baco to Iphone 5. All still work. Most of them run like shit but they all function.
