Mental gymnastics

I wish the number were smaller, but I am convinced that if we were to reject this budget and kick the can down the road until next year, we would end up having to spend even more

It'll be less expensive, I believe, and it does a lot more that I agree with than what I disagree with.

which force us to vote for the bad to get the good.

As with any government funding bill, it contains spending and programs I don't like,

Merry Christmas!

I will retire soon and go into politics (decades before most people retire). But I won't stand for this kind of shit. I will vote no on anything that is against my moral and ethical bottom line. Budget has earmarks for shit I fundamentally disagree with? Too bad. I'm voting no. You won't get it. The bill is about helping retarded children get surgeries that help them be better members of society BUT they include provisions in it to help fund foreign wars ?Too bad. Retarded kids will continue to suffer because I will not support the endless foreign wars. Bring our troops home and protect our own country for a change.

Things like this. And people will call me "Mr. No" like they called Ron Paul "Dr. No" because I will vote no on almost everything.
