I live in northeastern USA. I received the following text message: >"Hey [my first name]- it's Harry with Progressive Turnout Project! We're paying Democrats like you $250/week to rally your friends and family to vote! Interested?" Reply STOP to end I am not, and have never been, a registered democrat. I have no idea why they targeted me. I also feel *dirty.* I feel like I should present this as evidence to someone, but I know the people responsible for securing shit like this wouldn't do a damned thing about it- after everything they let slide in 2020, what's a little bribery to some randos on top of all the truly shady shit they engaged in? Anyone else get a text like this? Any ideas what I could do with it, I'd like to fuck these "Progressive Turnout Project" people up if I can (figuratively speaking, of course, I'm not a violent man, no sir), but I don't think they'd be operating like this unless they were quite certain that some pissed off national socialist would receive one of their texts and try to report it, and nothing would be done to them.
