I can attest to this. An AVERAGE modest home in the North East consumes 350-500 gallons of heating oil per winter, some homes much more. 10 years ago heating oil was $1.32/g.

Here are the current cash prices for heating oil in Southern Maine - http://www.maineoil.com/zone1.asp?type=0

Kerosene is even more outrageous. I've seen it as high as $7.99/gal.

Hardwood firewood, cut, split and delivered has been around $200/cord in recent years. Cord= 4ft x 4ft x 8ft neatly stacked. It is typically $350-$400 this year, IF YOU CAN FIND ANY.

Propane is ridiculous, many distributors are no longer taking new customers.

Electricity prices, well, you know.

This is the financial fleecing of America before they try to finish us off.

That is IF your electricity makes it through winter without power outages.

Boo hoo, all these people vote Dem so I hope they enjoy freezing!

Wrong. Maine was covered in Trump signage and often you couldn't find a Biden sign. Maine has Ranked Choice Voting with entrenched Dem elected officials. The majority of Dem support is coastal (the rich, and elites) communities and southern Maine (liberal Massachusetts spillovers). Measured by acreage, Maine is about 80% conservative; measured by (reported) votes, Maine is about 45% conservative. Measured by Trump Signs in 2020, you'd think you were in MAGA country.

Saying Mainers voted Dem in 2020 is just like saying America voted for Biden in 2020.
