The big thing is you are assuming that all votes are in on day 0. They have to wait for all mail postmarked by election day to be delivered. Then consider there isn't a precinct counting method in mail in ballots. Also a half million votes would be 8% of the entire state, through a single organization.
Generally fuck the whole process with the exception of absentee for military.

I did in fact did assume that any ballot not recieved at the day of election "something o'clock" would be null and void..
That's fucked up and seriously undermines election integrity..
